S K R Engineering

Our workshop is at C11 Noriss Road in the 3rd Block of the Kahiba Industrial Area. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't used to this side of town. The road gets quite dusty when the trucks pass by, which is pretty much all day long. At S K R Engineering, we spend most of our time dealing with metal and tools. It’s a lot of measuring, cutting, and fixing things that people bring in. The floor is concrete and usually covered in scraps or metal shavings. We have a few old fans that try their best to keep us cool, but they mostly just move the hot air around. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a receptionist or anyone like that; if the bell rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see who it is. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work, so there is always the sound of banging or grinding coming from somewhere nearby. We keep our tools organized as best as we can, though things always seem to get lost right when you need them. Some days we have a lot of orders to finish and we stay late, drinking tea and trying to get through the pile. Other times it’s quiet and we just clean the benches. It’s a practical kind of life and we’ve gotten used to the grit of it.
