S.G. Engineering

S.G. Engineering is tucked away at 14 / 3 on Andree Road in Shanthi Nagar. It’s a bit of a quieter street compared to the main roads, which we like. The building is simple, just a two-story structure where we have our shop on the bottom and some storage above. We’ve been at this address for quite a few years now. The front door sticks a little when it’s humid, so you have to give it a good shove. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of metal being worked on and the occasional radio playing in the background. We don't have any sales people in suits. Most of us are in work clothes that have seen better days. We keep our tools on a big pegboard and usually, we can find what we need, though things get misplaced during busy weeks. There’s a small desk where we handle the bills and the phone calls. We don't have a website with fancy photos. If people want to see what we do, they usually just walk in and look at the projects on the floor. Shanthi Nagar is a good spot for us. We know the other shop owners nearby and we help each other out when we can. It’s a plain, honest business. We don't make big promises, we just do the engineering work that comes our way and try to keep the lights on. It's a modest living but it's ours.
