R.S.Engineering Services

We are located on the first floor of M132 in the Rajajinagar Industrial Estate. It’s right by the 1st Cross, near the big ABB building. You have to walk up some narrow stairs to get to us. The air always smells a bit like oil and metal shavings because of the workshops downstairs. Being in an industrial estate means there is always noise—clanging, humming, and trucks moving. We do engineering services here, mostly small parts and repairs. The windows are usually open to get a breeze, but it also lets in the soot from the factories. I have a big table covered in blueprints and old tools. It's not very organized, but I know where every bolt is kept. Sometimes we have to work late when a job is urgent. The lighting isn't the best, we have those long tube lights that flicker sometimes. We've been in this Rajajinagar spot for years. The neighbors are mostly other small shops like ours. We borrow tools from each other sometimes. It’s a community of makers and fixers. I eat my lunch at the desk while looking out at the parking area. It’s not fancy, but it’s where we do our work. We just focus on the machines and getting things finished. It's a lot of manual labor and figuring things out. Some days the stairs feel a lot steeper than they used to, but that's just getting older I guess. We just keep the floor as clean as possible.
