Royal Rajasthan Restaurant

Our restaurant is on the third floor of Bhoomi Plaza, right above the Bata showroom on Hosur Road. It’s at the 71/1 check post area in Gopipura. To get to us, you have to come up the stairs or use the lift if it’s working that day. We have a view of the heavy traffic on Hosur Road from our windows, which is always a bit of a sight in Bangalore. The place is called Royal Rajasthan Restaurant, but we don't have any palace decorations or anything like that. It’s just a room with tables and chairs where we serve Rajasthani food. The kitchen is tucked away in the back and that is where most of the work happens. We spend our time chopping vegetables and making sure the dough is ready for the day. It’s a bit of a climb for some people, but those who know we are here don't seem to mind the 3rd-floor location. We have a few staff members who have been with us since we opened. We don't use any corporate language or have a big mission. We just open the doors, cook the food, and clean up at the end of the night. The Bata showroom downstairs is a good landmark for people who are coming here for the first time. We just try to keep things simple and keep the pots boiling. It’s a regular business in a busy plaza.
