Ronak Times

Our shop, Ronak Times, is right in the heart of Chickpet. We are at number 335, shop G6, on Purohit Avenue. If you know where the Vijaylaxmi Theatre is, we are just behind it. Chickpet is a crazy place, always packed with people and vendors. It’s loud, it’s busy, and there’s never a dull moment. We deal with watches, mostly wholesale and some retail too. The shop is small, like most places in Chickpet. We have boxes stacked high and watches displayed in the glass counter. It can be a bit of a squeeze when customers come in. Purohit Avenue is a tight street, so there’s always something happening outside. We’ve been here for years, and we know the rhythm of the market. Most of our day is spent talking to people and checking stock. It’s a dusty, hectic environment, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The energy of Chickpet is something else. We don’t do any fancy marketing. People find us because they’ve been coming here for a long time or they hear about us from someone else. It’s a real, old-school business. We keep our tools handy for small repairs and we make sure the clocks on the wall are mostly right. It’s a busy life, but it’s a good one here behind the theatre. We just get on with our work every single day.
