R.K. Engineering Co.

R.K. Engineering Co. is tucked away in the J.C. Industrial Layout on 2nd Main Road. We are at Building No. 14, right next to the Metro station on Kanakapura Main Road. You can hear the trains going by every few minutes, which took some getting used to at first. The workshop is usually full of grease and the smell of cut metal. We handle a lot of different engineering tasks, mostly stuff people bring in that needs fixing or custom parts that aren't easy to find in stores. My brother and I run the floor, and we’ve got a couple of guys who have been with us for years. It’s a noisy place with the lathes running and the grinders going, so it isn't the best place for a quiet chat. We keep our tools hung up on the wall, though they don't always stay there when we are in the middle of a big job. The layout here is a bit tight, so we have to be careful how we move the heavy machinery around. We don’t have a website or a marketing person; we just do the work as it comes in. Most of the time, we’re too busy with our hands dirty to worry about much else. If you come by, just walk past the main gate and you’ll see us in the back.
