Our watch center is at number 124 in Yelahanka, very close to the bus stand and the Adajan Patia Circle. Because of the location, there is almost always a crowd outside. People are constantly rushing for buses or waiting around the circle. It’s a small, modest shop. We have been here for years, sitting at the same bench and fixing all kinds of timepieces. Flashy signs or modern furniture aren't our style. It is just a counter and some shelves with old clock faces and tiny tools. Most of our work is very quiet and needs a lot of focus, even with the traffic noise outside. We see many different people every day. Some need a new battery while others have an old watch that hasn't worked in decades. We just do our best to take them apart and find the problem. It’s a simple way to spend a day. Yelahanka has changed so much since we first opened, but our little corner remains the same. Watching the city move from our window is something we enjoy. There is no big corporate plan here. We just open up in the morning and wait for the first customer to walk in. It’s a steady job and we like being part of the neighborhood. We stay here until the evening when the bus stand finally gets a bit less crowded.
