Rams Kitchen

Down here in Malleswaram, things move at their own pace. We are located right on 10th Cross, near the Swimming Pool Extension area. If you know Guttahalli Main Road, you won't have much trouble finding the place. It's a small kitchen, nothing too big or flashy. We spend most of our hours over the stove or prepping vegetables on the big wooden table we have in the back. The air always smells like roasted spices and steam. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when all the burners are going at once and the sun is hitting the roof. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have worked together for years now. We know how each other works without having to say much to one another. Usually, the first thing we do is check the supplies that came in from the market early that morning. If the tomatoes or onions aren't good, the whole day feels a bit off. We just try to make food that tastes like what you'd get at home. Nothing too complicated or fancy. The neighborhood is quiet enough, though the 10th Cross gets its fair share of scooters and people walking by. We’ve had the same neighbors for a long time. Sometimes we share a bit of whatever we’ve cooked at the end of the shift. It’s just how things are done around here. We aren't trying to be big or trendy, just a steady kitchen.
