Ragoos Restaurant

Our place, Ragoos, is tucked away in Basavanagudi on KR Road. We are in the Lime Light building, right near the Garadi Apartments. If you know Obalappa Garden, you know where we are. Basavanagudi is one of those old parts of Bangalore that still feels like the old days. We like it here. The restaurant isn't very large, but we've squeezed in enough seating for the lunch rush. It gets busy around 1 PM. Most of our customers are from the apartments nearby or people working in the small offices around 5th Main. We serve standard meals. The kitchen is small, so you can usually hear the pans clanking and the smell of spices is always in the air. We don't do anything too fancy with the decor. It's just plain walls and sturdy tables. Sometimes the traffic on KR Road makes it a bit noisy, but that's just how it is in this city. We've had some of the same staff for a long time. They know how the locals like their food. We aren't trying to be a five-star place. We just want to make sure people leave with a full stomach. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but people find us. We're just a neighborhood eatery doing our thing every day. It's been like this for years now. We just keep the doors open for whoever comes in, without any big fuss or complicated rules about things.
