R S Engineering

R S Engineering is located over in Kamakshi Palya. We are on the 3rd A Main Road, near the Ramamndir Road Cross in Kaveripura. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of small workshops. Our place is at number 5. It is full of metal scraps, lathes, and welding gear. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings. We spend our days cutting, grinding, and fixing whatever parts come our way. The heat from the welding makes the shop pretty warm in the afternoons. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background, mostly just for some noise over the grinding sounds. The Ram Mandir nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don't have a big sign, just the work we do. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat while we are working on a piece of steel. It’s a very local atmosphere. We’ve been in Kaveripura for a long time. Our hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. We don't mind it. The machines are old but they still work fine if you know how to talk to them. It’s just a small engineering shop doing what needs to be done. We take our breaks on the stone steps outside. It’s not a glamorous job but it keeps us going. We usually share a packet of biscuits around four.
