Chamarajpet is one of those neighborhoods that still feels like old Bangalore. We are tucked away at No 148 on 5th Main Road. It is very close to the Andhra Bank, which is what we tell people when they are trying to find the shop for the first time. The building is quite old and the walls are a bit thick. It stays cool inside even when the sun is hitting the street hard outside. R N R & Sons has been a family effort for a long time. It is mostly just us handling the day-to-day tasks. We don't have a receptionist or a polished lobby. There is just a wooden desk and a lot of ledgers. My sons help out with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We see a lot of people walking by to the bank or the small shops nearby. The street gets a bit dusty in the afternoons. We usually have a tea from the stall at the corner around four o'clock. It's a quiet routine. We don't believe in making a big fuss about our business. We just want to get the orders done right and go home to our families. The 5th Main Road has some nice trees that provide shade for the cars parked outside. Sometimes it’s hard to find a spot, but that’s Chamarajpet for you. We just keep things moving at our own pace.
