Our workshop is out at Plot No. V-43 in the Peenya 2nd Stage. Specifically, we are in Kariovanahally Thigalarataly along the main road. If you know Peenya, you know it’s the industrial heart of Bangalore. It’s a different vibe out here compared to the city center. There is a lot of dust, the sound of metal hitting metal, and the constant hum of machinery from the neighboring units. Our place is a large shed-like structure where we keep all our tools and materials. It’s not a place for white shirts; it’s a place where things get dirty and work gets done. The main road outside stays busy with trucks and tempos moving goods in and out of the industrial estate. We have a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. It gets quite hot under the roof during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We’ve been in this plot for a long time and we know the rhythms of the 2nd Stage well. There isn't much to look at besides the equipment and the raw materials stacked up. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. You just walk in and you'll find us working on whatever is on the bench that day. It’s a practical environment for people who like to build and fix things. That’s just life in Peenya for us.
