Quality Machine Tools

Being located on Jaya Chamarajendra Road means dealing with a lot of noise and dust every single day. Quality Machine Tools is up on the second floor of number 24, which is tucked behind the old VISL building. If you are coming from East End Road, it is a bit easier to spot, but JC Road is always a bit of a scramble with the lorries and carts. We spend most of our time dealing with heavy equipment and all sorts of machine parts that come through the doors. It is a bit of a climb to the second floor, especially when we are moving smaller items back and forth, but we have gotten used to it by now. The office is usually filled with the smell of grease and metal, which I guess is normal for a place like this. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s mostly just shelves and desks where we handle the paperwork and talk to the mechanics who come in looking for specific tools. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives, and we have to shuffle things around to make space. It is a practical setup for us. We just focus on getting the right tools to the people who need them and keeping the shop running smoothly. It’s a lot of manual tracking and making sure we don't lose anything in the shuffle.
