We've been here at 241 for quite a while now, right across from Kamakya Theatre in Banashankari. It's a busy spot, especially in the evenings when the movies let out and the street fills up with people. Most folks know us because they walk past our door on their way to the shops or the bus stop. Prabhat Times isn't a fancy place, just a regular shop where we get on with things every day. Usually, someone is here by nine in the morning to open up the shutters. The shop floor gets a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, so sweeping is the first task we do. We deal with whatever comes in through the door. Some days it is quiet and we just sit and talk, other days it is non-stop. It’s mostly just us doing our work and making sure things are kept in a decent order. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know the neighborhood well and like working here. Sometimes the theater crowd pops in to ask for directions or just to look around for a bit. We like being in this part of town because everything we need is close by. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the theater entrance. It is nothing special, just a honest place where we spend our days. We try to stay organized but it gets messy when we are busy. That's just how it goes here.
