You can find Poonam Engineering Company down at N/3 in Jmg Lane. We are right by the SP Road Cross, which is a very busy spot near the City Market. If you know the area, you know how hectic it gets with all the carts and people moving around. Our shop is tucked away in the lane. We do engineering work, mostly small parts and repairs that people need for their machines. The shop is full of tools and bits of metal. It smells like oil and iron most of the time. We don't have any air conditioning so it gets pretty warm when the machines are running. We’ve been in Jmg Lane for a good bit of time. Everyone around here knows each other. We spend the day fixing things or cutting metal to size. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of grinding or hammers hitting something. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life near City Market. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment.
