Ponnar Precision Engeering

Ponnar Precision Engeering is based at number 21 on Banneraghatta Road. It’s a busy road with a lot of traffic passing by all day. Our workshop is just one of many along this stretch. We spend our days working on various precision parts. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of focus, so it’s usually quiet inside except for the sound of the machines. We don't have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door. You usually have to walk past the machines to find someone to talk to. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We’ve been doing this for years, so we’ve seen the road outside get busier and busier. Our team is small, just a handful of people who know their way around the lathes and drills. We don't use much technology for the business side of things, mostly just for the actual engineering. We keep our records in big ledgers for the most part. It’s a practical way of doing things that has worked for us. We don't make a big fuss about what we do. People bring us their specifications, and we do the work. It’s steady and predictable. We like it that way. If you’re ever on Banneraghatta Road near number 21, you’ll probably hear our machines running. That is just how we spend our time.
