Down in Peenya 3rd Phase, at No. 154 on the 10th Main Road, is where Srushti Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is set up. The area is pretty industrial and grey, but we keep our internal space very clean because of the medicine we handle. You have to change into different shoes or wear covers before you go into certain sections, which is a bit of a hassle but we have to do it. The air inside always has a slight chemical smell, not a bad one, just like a hospital or a clean lab. We have various machines for mixing and packing that run for most of the day. The technicians here are usually quiet, focusing on their gauges and the weight of the powders. It’s not the kind of place where people chat much while the machines are on. We take our breaks in a small room at the back where there’s a water cooler. The 10th Main Road gets really crowded during the shift changes, so we try to time our departures to miss the worst of the traffic. Our building is a standard concrete structure, nothing special to look at from the street side. Inside, it's all white walls and very bright lights. We deal with a lot of paperwork because everything has to be written down. It’s a lot of checking and double-checking everything. If a batch isn't perfect, we have to spend hours figuring out why. It’s steady work and the team knows the routine well and works hard.
