If you come down to Anandanagar on 3rd Main Road, you will find our workshop at number 411. This is where all the tooling work happens. The shop is usually quite loud because of the different machines running, and there is always that specific smell of machine oil and freshly cut metal hanging in the air. We aren't some massive factory with thousands of workers, just a local place where we make and repair tools and parts for other businesses in the area. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day, even though we try to keep it swept up. It’s hard work and your hands are almost always covered in some kind of grease or grit, but it’s what we have been doing for years. We have a few lathes and milling machines that have been with us for a long time. They aren't the newest high-tech models you might see in a magazine, but they work just fine if you know how to operate them correctly. We spend a lot of time staring at blueprints and measuring things very carefully because even a tiny mistake means the whole part has to be scrapped. It gets pretty warm in the shop during the afternoon, so we usually take a break for tea when things get too hot. Most of our customers are other local shops who need something custom made. We just keep our heads down and work.
