Passion Institute Of Music

Passion Institute Of Music is tucked away in Basavanagudi at 49/1. It’s an old part of the city, and we like being here among the houses and the trees. Most days, you can hear a mix of sounds coming from our rooms, from kids trying to figure out their first chords on a guitar to someone practicing a violin piece they’ve been working on for months. We aren't a big corporate school with a lobby and uniforms. It’s more like a place where you come to just sit and play. We have instruments leaning against the walls and sheet music scattered around the tables. The teachers are just people who really like playing music themselves and want to share that with the neighbors. Sometimes the tuning is a bit off or the drums are too loud for the afternoon, but the people living nearby are used to us by now. We don't have a strict dress code or anything like that. You just walk in, find your spot, and start. Basavanagudi has a specific feel to it, and we think our little institute fits in well with the local culture. It’s been here at 49/1 for a while, and we’ve seen students grow up from small children into adults who still come back to say hello or play a song. We just keep the doors open and let the music happen.
