Our workshop is situated at 782/6 in Srirampuram, on the 6th A Cross off 3rd Main Road. This part of town is pretty narrow, so it can be a bit of a struggle to get larger materials delivered to the door. We do a lot of fabrication work here, which means there’s usually some welding or cutting going on. You’ll see sparks flying and hear the sound of metal being hammered most afternoons. The shop is filled with welding sets, grinders, and various steel rods leaning against the walls. We don't have a lot of office space, just a small desk in the corner with a phone and a stack of papers. Most of our time is spent out on the floor actually making things. It gets quite bright and loud, so we usually wear our gear and keep our heads down. The neighborhood is mostly residential mixed with small shops like ours. We know most of the people who live nearby, and they’re used to the noise. We try to finish our loud work before it gets too late in the evening. Sometimes the orders pile up and we have to stay late, but we don't mind the extra hours. It’s a dusty job, and our hands are usually covered in soot by the end of the shift. We just focus on getting the measurements right and finishing the pieces.
