About Aman Ajmani Photography – Photography in Bengaluru
I’ve set up my photography space at D302 in the Akme Ballet apartment complex. It’s right on the Outer Ring Road, so the sound of traffic is something I’ve just had to get used to. Doing photography from a residential building is a bit different, but it works for me. Aman Ajmani Photography is basically just me and a couple of cameras in one of the rooms here. I do most of my work on the computer, sitting by the window that looks out over the complex. The light is actually pretty good in the morning, which helps when I'm checking colors on my photos. Sometimes neighbors stop by to see what I’m working on. It’s not a big commercial studio with lights everywhere. It’s more of a personal setup where I can focus on the small details. I spend a lot of my time traveling to different spots for shoots, but this is where I come back to do all the editing. The Outer Ring Road is always jammed, so I try to schedule my appointments so I’m not stuck in a car for hours. My desk is a bit of a mess with cables and hard drives, but I know where everything is. I don't really have a big staff or anything. It's just me trying to make sure the photos look right before I send them out. It’s a quiet life when I’m here working, which I like. I enjoy the process of turning a raw image into something finished and real.
