Oriental Spice Restaurant

We are located inside the Ashraya International Hotel at No. 149 Infantry Road in Bangalore. We’re right opposite the Police Commissioner Office, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone who hasn't been here before. Infantry Road is always moving, and being in the 560001 area means there’s never a dull moment. We’ve been part of the hotel for a good amount of time now. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don't use big marketing talk because we don’t think it’s necessary. We’re just here to cook and serve people. You get a mix of business folks and travelers coming through the hotel doors, plus some locals who know we’re here. The kitchen is usually a busy place from the morning prep all the way through to the end of the night. We just try to keep everything organized and get the plates out as they’re ordered. Bangalore has changed a lot, with new places popping up every week, but we just stick to what we know. It’s a lot of work, and some days are tougher than others when the crowd is big, but we just keep at it. It’s a simple life running a restaurant on a street as busy as this one. We just take it day by day and keep the pots and pans moving.
