Orient Traders

We are located at 163 Sadar Patrappa Road. Everyone just calls it SP Road. If you’ve ever been here, you know how it is—narrow streets, people everywhere, and shops packed tight against each other. Our place is one of those. We trade in different goods and parts. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with boxes. Half the time, we have to use a ladder just to find what a customer is looking for. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We’ve got an old ceiling fan that squeaks, but it helps with the humidity. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come in looking for specific items they can't find anywhere else. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just know what we have in stock by memory. The street outside is always noisy with carts and motorbikes honking. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the person standing right in front of you. We keep a ledger on the counter to write everything down by hand. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us at number 163. We take a break for lunch when the street calms down a little, but it never really stays quiet for long. It’s just the way life is on SP Road and we’ve gotten used to the constant buzz of the market. It’s home for us.
