Optics & Allied Engineering Pvt. Ltd is situated at C-89 in the Iti Industrial Estate. Being out on Whitefield Road means we are right in the middle of all that industrial activity. The estate itself is always humming with the sound of machinery and trucks moving in and out. It’s a very practical place to work. Our building is a standard industrial shed type of setup. It isn’t fancy at all, but it serves the purpose for what we do with engineering and optics. The road outside can get pretty dusty and the traffic is often a bit of a headache, especially during shift changes when everyone is trying to get home or get to work. We spend most of our time inside the facility handling whatever projects are on the table for that day. You can hear the hum of the equipment from the moment you walk in. We have a small staff and everyone knows each other’s names. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. You just walk in and you are pretty much in the middle of the workspace. There are plenty of other workshops around us, so there is always someone nearby if we need a tool or a bit of advice. It’s a very down-to-earth environment. We’ve been on Whitefield Road for years and we’ve seen the whole area change quite a lot, but our little corner in the ITI estate stays pretty much the same.
