Northern Route Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at No.8 in St Marks Plaza. It’s right there on St Marks Road, which is always busy with people going to work or shopping. We are very close to the State Bank of India, so that’s a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. Bangalore is a fast city, but inside our doors, we try to keep things a bit more grounded. We focus on the kind of food we grew up with. The kitchen is always humming with the sound of pans and the smell of spices. It's not a huge place, just a cozy corner where you can get a good meal. We have a mix of regular tables and some smaller spots for quick lunches. The staff here is a small group of people who just like to cook and serve. We don't use those complicated digital menus; we just tell you what's fresh. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, or the service is a bit slow when we’re packed, but we’re all human. We’ve been in this 560001 area for a while now. We’ve seen the street change quite a bit, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. People come in for the food and stay because it feels easygoing. We don't try to impress anyone with fancy decorations. It's just a place to eat well and take a break from the St Marks Road traffic.
