Nikko Times

You can find us at 81/1 on 7th Main in Vijaya Nagar. We’ve been operating out of this part of Vijaya Nagar for quite a while now. It’s a nice area, very lively with people going about their business. Our shop, Nikko Times, is mostly about clocks and watches. We spend our days surrounded by the rhythmic sound of ticking. It becomes like background noise after a while, and you don’t even notice it until someone points it out. The shop is modest, just enough room for the workbench and the displays. We get a lot of people from the nearby houses who have had the same wall clock for twenty years and want to keep it running. We enjoy those kinds of jobs because those clocks have stories. Working with your hands is something we’ve always done. It’s not always easy, especially with the tiny screws that like to bounce off the table and disappear on the floor. We usually have a bit of a laugh about it and then get back to searching. The 7th Main road gets pretty busy, but inside here, things move at a slower pace. We don't feel the need to rush everything. We just take our time and make sure the gears are turning right. It’s a steady way to live, and we’re glad to be doing it right here in this neighborhood.
