Nikhil Kawale Photography

You can find me working inside the Woodstock Ambience Pvt Ltd office. It’s a bit of a unique setup for a photography business, but it works out well. Nikhil Kawale Photography is basically me, my cameras, and a lot of time spent looking at light. The space inside is where I handle most of the planning and the editing side of things. There’s always a few tripods leaning against the wall and lenses sitting on the desk. It’s not a massive studio with white walls everywhere, but more of a practical base of operations. A lot of my work involves going out to different locations, so I’m often packing and unpacking gear. When I am at the office, I’m usually glued to the screen, going through hundreds of shots to find the ones that actually look right. I don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what I do. I just take pictures and try to make sure they aren't blurry or poorly lit. Sometimes the technology acts up, and I spend half the morning just trying to get a backup drive to work. It’s part of the job. People come by to talk about their events or projects, and we just sit down and figure out a plan. Being inside Woodstock Ambience means there are other things going on around me, which is nice. It keeps the atmosphere from being too quiet. It’s a simple setup, but it’s where all the creative work happens and I like that.
