National Caterers & Tent House

Our place is on the first floor at 133/1, Lalbagh Fort Road. If you are near Basappa Circle in Bangalore, you are basically right there. At National Caterers & Tent House, we do two things mainly—catering and setting up tents. It’s a busy life because when someone is having a function, they usually need both. We spend a lot of time loading trucks with heavy poles, fabric, and big cooking pots. The office is just a place where we keep the books and meet people to talk about their dates. Most of the real work happens out in the sun or under the tents we build. It’s a physical job. My guys are strong and they know how to put up a structure fast. We’ve seen all kinds of weather while working at different grounds. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just provide the shelter and the food for your event. Some days are longer than others, especially when we have to tear down a tent late at night after a party is over. Lalbagh Fort Road is always humming with traffic, so getting our trucks in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. But we’ve lived here a long time and we know the shortcuts. We keep our equipment in the warehouse and try to make sure nothing gets too damaged during the transport. It is a constant cycle of packing, moving, setting up, and then doing it all over again the next day for someone else.
