Nandini Party Hall

I work at Nandini Party Hall here in Padmanabhanagar. We are right on 17th G Main, just the first cross in 6th Block. If you know the Ganapathi Temple, we are directly opposite that. It’s usually pretty loud around here because of the temple bells and the traffic on the main road. The hall itself isn't huge but it fits enough people for small functions. Most days start early with someone sweeping the front steps or moving chairs around. We spend a lot of time checking the lights and making sure the fans work because it gets stuffy inside when it’s full. The address is 15/4 and it’s a bit of a tight corner for parking, so we always see people struggling with their cars out front. I’ve been here long enough to know most of the neighbors. Sometimes the decorators come in late at night to set up for a morning wedding, and we have to stay up to let them in. It's mostly just a lot of moving furniture and answering the phone to tell people where we are located. People get lost even with the temple right there. It’s just how it goes in this part of Bangalore. We don't have fancy carpets or anything, just a plain space that gets the job done for families. Cleaning up after a big dinner is probably the hardest part, especially when the caterers leave a mess in the back. Anyway, that is what we do here daily.
