Nanak Restaurant

Nanak Restaurant has been sitting here in Ashok Nagar for quite some time now. We are located right on Brigade Road, which everyone knows is one of the busiest spots in Bangalore. If you go off Wood Street, you’ll find us easily enough. The area has changed so much over the years with all the new shops and big buildings coming up, but we are still here in the same spot. Inside, it’s not very fancy. We have the usual tables and chairs and a fan that sometimes makes a bit of noise, but it works. We see all kinds of people coming through the doors. Some are office workers looking for a quick lunch before they head back to their desks, and others are shoppers who are tired from walking around Brigade Road all afternoon. We just focus on getting the food out. It’s a small team here. We don’t have a big corporate structure or anything like that. I usually handle the cash counter and keep an eye on things. Sometimes we run out of certain items if it’s a particularly busy day, and we have to tell people to pick something else. It’s just how a small restaurant runs. Bangalore weather is usually nice, so even when the kitchen is busy, it doesn’t get too unbearable. We’ve lived in this city a long time and we like being part of this neighborhood.
