Peenya Industrial Area is a tough place to work, but that’s where Multitech Engineering Solutions is based. It’s one of the biggest industrial hubs, so it’s always dusty and loud with the sound of factories. Our place is tucked away among all the other sheds and warehouses. We’ve been here for several years now, dealing with all sorts of engineering tasks. The building is functional, nothing more. We have benches for assembly and some space for storage. Every morning, we unlock the heavy shutters and start the machines. It’s mostly about solving practical problems with machinery and parts. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. We just look at what’s broken or what needs to be built and we get to it. The power cuts in Peenya can be a real pain, so we have a generator that kicks in, making even more noise. We drink a lot of tea from the cart outside to keep going through the afternoon slump. Most of the staff have been here since the start, so we know how each other works without having to say much. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. We just do the work and hope the machines keep running smooth. It’s a gritty, real-world job and we’re okay with that.
