Mookambika Paradise

Mookambika Paradise is located at 428/31 on Shivranjani Cross Road in Koramangala VI Bk. It’s a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the sign. We’ve been running this place as a family for a few years. It’s a lot of long hours, but we like being in this neighborhood. The street gets quite narrow during the day with all the parked scooters. Inside, we have enough room for about twenty people if they sit close together. We do a lot of rice dishes. The kitchen is right in the back and you can usually hear the pans clanking from the front. We don't use any pre-made stuff. Everything is chopped and cooked right there. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles, which makes things interesting for the customers. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s that kind of place. We don’t have a manager in a suit. It’s just us in our aprons. The walls are painted a light yellow, though they could probably use a new coat soon. We just want to make sure people leave with a full stomach. We stay open even when it rains hard, which happens a lot here. It’s just a regular local spot for a quick meal. The roof leaks a tiny bit near the door but we put a bucket there and keep going.
