Mookambika Engineers

Mookambika Engineers is located at 237 Prakash Nagar, which is a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here. We’ve got a small workshop that stays pretty loud most of the day because of the machines. There’s always the smell of cut metal and oil in the air, which stays on your clothes long after you go home. It’s a local operation, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks. The desk is usually covered in drawings and measuring tapes. Most of the time, we’re out on the floor making sure things are being cut right or checking the fit of a part. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up, but that’s just part of being in Prakash Nagar. We’ve got a couple of old chairs for visitors, but they usually end up standing around the workbench anyway. It’s a practical kind of life. We start early, usually before the sun gets too high, and we don’t stop until the light starts to fade. There aren't any big speeches here. We just look at what needs to be fixed or made and we get to it. Sometimes we mess up a bit and have to start over, but that’s just how engineering goes in a real shop. It’s just us, some heavy metal, and the daily grind of the neighborhood. The neighbors sometimes drop by to borrow a wrench or just to see what we're working on today.
