Monkey Bar

Down in Richmond Town Phase IV, you’ll find us at 14/1. That’s where Monkey Bar is located. It’s a corner spot that has seen a lot of things happen over the years. We aren't trying to be the most polished place in the city, we just like the vibe of this neighborhood. The building at 14/1 has its quirks, like floors that aren't perfectly level and windows that let in all the street sounds. We think that adds to the character of the place. We spend our evenings making sure the lights are right and the music isn't too loud or too soft. Richmond Town is a great area to be in because of the history and the people who live here. We get a lot of folks who just want to hang out after a long day at work. We don't use fancy marketing slogans to get people in. Usually, people just see the crowd or hear about us from a friend. It’s a casual atmosphere where you can just be yourself. We handle everything from the cleaning to the serving ourselves, so it’s a very hands-on kind of business. Sometimes the pipes leak or we run out of something, but we just figure it out as we go. It’s a real place run by real people who enjoy being part of the Richmond Town community. We’ve been here at 14/1 for a while and plan on staying put for much longer. It’s just how we like it, messy and loud and full of life.
