Mint Masala Restaurant

We are located on the ground floor of the Chevron Hotel. It is on Infantry Road, which is a very busy street in the middle of Bangalore. If you know where the Police Commissioner’s Office is, Mint Masala Restaurant is right across from there. Being in the heart of the city means it is always noisy outside with all the horns and people rushing to work. We open up early to get the kitchen ready. The ground floor spot is easy to walk into from the street. We share the building with the hotel, but we have our own space for the restaurant. It’s a pretty functional area without much extra stuff. We spend a lot of time on our feet, especially during the lunch hour when the office workers from Infantry Road come in. Bangalore weather is usually okay, but it gets a bit stuffy when the room is full, so we keep the fans going. We are just a regular group of people working here. No one is wearing a fancy suit or anything like that. We just wear our work clothes and get on with it. The furniture is basic and we try to keep things as tidy as we can. It’s a busy life in this part of town, but we are used to the pace by now. We just focus on the food and making sure things aren't too messy at the end of the night.
