Mata Engineering

Over in Kamakshi Palya, on the 8th Main in Sadana Nagar, that’s where you’ll find Mata Engineering. We are at number 53/2. It’s a typical Bangalore neighborhood where there’s always something being built or fixed. Our workshop is right there, and you can usually hear the sound of machines if you’re walking by. It’s a gritty kind of place, full of metal scraps and tools. We don’t have a fancy lobby or air conditioning in the main work area. It gets a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up on the 8th Main. We’ve been here for years, and the locals know the sound of our shutters opening in the morning. We don’t spend much on advertising or making the place look like a mall. It’s an engineering shop, so it looks like one. There are piles of parts and things waiting to be worked on or sent out. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench during the lunch break and watch the bikes go by. It’s a simple life, really. We just make sure the jobs get done and the people who come to us get what they need. It’s not a corporate office, just a place where real work happens every single day of the week. We keep the machines running and the floor swept as much as we possibly can in a place like this. It’s just how we do things here.
