Manoj Watch Agencies is located at 41 on the 2nd floor of P S Lane in Chickpet. If you know Chickpet you know it’s a very crowded and busy place. The lane is narrow and there are people everywhere moving boxes and carts. You have to climb up to the second floor to find our shop. It is filled with watches of all kinds. We deal with a lot of wholesale stuff so there are boxes stacked up quite high. It’s a bit cramped but we know where everything is. We spend the whole day talking to shopkeepers who come to buy stock for their own stores. It’s a lot of counting and checking orders. The noise from the street below always comes up through the windows. It’s a lively atmosphere to work in. We’ve been in this spot for many years. Chickpet has its own rhythm and you just get used to the rush. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to even stand in the lane during the peak hours. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. Just the watches and the ledgers. It’s a straightforward trade. We open early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. We keep some old fans going to stay cool because it gets stuffy with all the inventory. People know us by name around here.
