Manjul Pharmaceuticals

Manjul Pharmaceuticals is located in Sultanpet, which is part of the whole Chickpet area. We are in the Balaji Complex, Plot No. 125. If you’ve been to Chickpet, you know it’s a maze of shops and narrow lanes. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It can be quite a struggle just to get a bike through the streets some days, especially when the loaders are out. We’ve been here for years. The space is small but we use every inch of it for storage. We sell a variety of pharma products to different people who come by. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, face to face mostly. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing we are here in the complex. My cousin handles the accounts and I look after the stock. We drink a lot of coffee from the guy downstairs who brings it in steel tumblers. It’s a noisy, fast-paced environment but we are used to it by now. The walls are covered in old calendars and shelves full of boxes. We don’t really do any marketing. People just find us by word of mouth. It’s a hard-working neighborhood and we fit right in. We close up when the market gets quiet at night and the shutters go down. It’s been our life for a long time and we don't plan on moving.
