About Malleswaram Violin Classes – Education in Bengaluru
We run these violin classes at Ganapatimatha 30/4 on N D A Road in Malleshwaram. It’s not a grand music hall, just a simple room where we sit down and play. There are usually a few violins leaning against the wall in their cases. We have students coming in throughout the day, ranging from little kids to retired people who always wanted to learn. The neighborhood can be quite noisy with the traffic outside, but we just focus on the strings. It’s a lot of repetition, teaching how to hold the bow and where to put the fingers. We don’t have a big office or a staff. It’s mostly just about the music and the practice sessions. Sometimes the strings break and we have to stop to fix them, which is just part of the process. We don't use any fancy teaching methods or digital tools. It is just traditional learning by ear and following the notes on the page. The space is a bit tight when we have more than two people practicing at once, but we make it work. It feels more like a home than a school. People come here because they want to learn at their own pace without any pressure. We just enjoy the sound of the violin and helping others get the hang of it. It’s a small, local effort in Malleshwaram where anyone can come and learn.
