We’re based out in Vijaya Nagar on the 9th Main, right along Begur Road. It’s a busy corridor and there’s always something happening outside our windows. Inside, it’s a typical BPO setup with rows of desks and people wearing headsets for most of their shift. We deal with a lot of data and customer calls, so it can get pretty noisy when everyone is talking at once. The lighting is a bit bright, but it keeps us awake during the late shifts. We have a small canteen where we all gather for breaks to complain about the traffic or talk about the weekend. It’s a diverse group of people working here, some young and some who’ve been around for years. We don't have any fancy decorations, just some basic office furniture and a lot of wires running under the floors. The security guard at the front gate knows everyone by name, which makes it feel a bit more like a community. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which gives us a few minutes of quiet. It’s just a regular job for us, putting in the hours and making sure the tasks get finished before the next shift takes over. Begur Road is always packed, so most of us try to arrive early just to find a parking spot. We’re just here doing our thing day in and day out, helping people on the other end of the line.
