H S B C Electronic Data Processing (India)

We are located at 8 Richmond Circle, specifically on the 5th Cross. The building is called HSBC House and it is right behind Cyber Gateway. It is a big spot in a busy part of town. Every day, a lot of us come here to handle data processing. It is a lot of sitting at computers and making sure numbers and records are where they should be in the system. The area around Richmond Circle is always packed with cars and people, especially during the lunch hour. We have a canteen where most of us eat, but sometimes we go out to the small stalls nearby for a change of pace. The work is steady and repetitive. You get into a rhythm after a while. It is not the kind of place with a lot of drama. We just show up, do the processing, and head home. The building itself is quite large, so you can sometimes get lost if you are new to the floor. We have a lot of security at the entrance, which is just how it is for this kind of work. Behind Cyber Gateway, there is a bit of a shortcut we use to get to the main road faster. It is a very functional environment. No one is trying to impress anyone with fancy talk. We just focus on the screens and the tasks for the day. It is a job that keeps us busy and the 5th Cross is our home for the week.
