Mahalakshmi Industries

Started on BVK Iyengar Road back when things were different. Our place at Venkatapura 160/1 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. You can hear the traffic from the street all day long. It's a busy stretch of road and there is always someone passing by or a truck trying to squeeze through. Inside the workshop, things are usually a bit cluttered. There are pieces of metal and tools scattered across the benches. We don't really bother with making everything look perfect for visitors because there is always work to be done. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much under the roof, but we just turn the old fans on and keep going. Most of the people around here know us by name now. It is just a regular life running a small industry in a crowded part of the city. We don't have fancy office chairs or a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. Usually, our hands are a bit dirty from the machines, so the handset has some smudges on it. It's just the way things are here. We show up, do the jobs that need doing, and head home when the sun goes down. There’s no big secret to it, just staying busy and making sure the orders get finished before the weekend comes around.
