Kallada

Kallada is located at No. 14 on the Hosur Main Road in Madivala. If you know this area at all, you know how busy it gets with all the buses and people traveling through. Our place is right in the middle of all that noise. We have people coming in at all hours of the day and night. It’s a bit of a hectic spot to work in. We usually have the TV on in the corner showing the local news or some random channel to keep the noise level up. There’s a lot of luggage moving through here every single day. We spend a lot of time talking to travelers and answering the same questions about timing and bus routes. The floor gets dirty pretty fast with everyone walking in directly from the street, so we have to sweep it often. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their departures. The main road is right outside the door, so it’s never really quiet, even late at night. We’re mostly used to the sound of traffic now. Sometimes we have to run out to speak to the drivers or help someone with a heavy bag. We have a small counter where we handle all the tickets and the cash. It’s a practical space. Most people in Madivala know where to find us. We just keep things moving.
