M R K Engineering Works

Our workshop, M R K Engineering Works, is located at 815/2 Peenya. Peenya is a huge industrial area, so we are surrounded by all kinds of other factories and shops. It’s always loud here with the sound of engines and metal hitting metal, but we don't really notice it much anymore. We have some lathes and milling machines that have been with us for years. They aren't the newest models, but they work just fine if you know how to handle them. We spend our days mostly bent over the machines, making sure every cut is where it needs to be. Our hands are usually stained with oil and grease by lunchtime. We eat our food sitting on some wooden crates in the back. There isn't a lot of extra space in the shop because we have so many parts and raw materials stored everywhere. We try to keep things in some kind of order, but it’s a constant struggle. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. Most people just walk in or call us because they heard about us from someone else in the area. We’ve been working in Peenya for a long time and have seen many businesses come and go. We just keep our heads down and finish the work that’s on the bench. It’s a simple life and it keeps us occupied from morning until night, which is really all we can ask for.
