Lourd Vijay Dance Studio

You can find us over on Abdul Rehman Street 4 in Palace Guttahalli. The studio has been around for quite a bit. It is a place where people come to move around and learn some steps. We have some mirrors on the walls and a floor that has seen a lot of shoes over the years. It is not a polished, high-end gym; it is just a dance space. We play music loud enough to hear the beat but try not to bother the neighbors too much. People from all over the area come in for classes. Some are good at it, and some have two left feet, but we do not mind. We teach different styles depending on who is around to lead the class. The street outside can be a bit narrow, so finding a spot to park is always an adventure. Inside, things are simple. We have got some fans to keep the air moving when things get sweaty. It is a lot of hard work and practice every day. We are not trying to be famous; we just like the way dancing feels. Sometimes the floorboards creak, but that is just part of the charm of an old building. We are just a bunch of people who enjoy rhythm and movement. If you are walking through Palace Guttahalli and hear music, that is probably us. We are usually here until late in the evening.
