Lime Lights

We are over at 11th Cross in Vyalikaval, right near the police station. It’s a quiet little corner of Bangalore compared to the main roads. We deal with lights for all sorts of events. If you come by our place on 3rd Main Road, you’ll see it’s filled with boxes of bulbs, long coils of wire, and different types of stands. It’s not a very tidy shop, but we know exactly where the spare fuses are kept. We started this because we liked how a few well-placed lights could change the whole look of a room. It’s a lot of manual work, though. We spend a lot of time on ladders or crawling under stages to hide cables so people don't trip. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We’re just a local business that likes to get the lighting right. Sometimes a bulb burns out right before a show starts and we have to run to fix it, which is always a bit of a panic. But we’ve been doing this for a while, so we’re used to it. We don't have any fancy marketing slogans. We just talk to people, find out what they need, and bring our gear over. Vyalikaval is a nice place to be based. It’s got a good community feel. We usually work late into the night when the events are actually happening, and then we spend the next day cleaning and fixing our equipment. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy.
