Liberty Engineering Works

We’ve been here at No.18 in Jaraganahalli for a good while now. Our spot is right behind the TVS and Solar automobile place in J P Nagar. It isn’t the easiest place to find if you aren't looking for Annaiahappa Garden, but once you’re here, the noise of the machines tells you where we are. Liberty Engineering Works is just a small setup, really. We handle the usual jobs that come through the door, fixing parts or cutting metal when someone needs it. The floor is usually covered in scrap and oil, and that’s just how a workshop looks after a long day. We don’t have fancy chairs or a waiting room. Most of the time, I’m out back working with the guys. The rain sometimes leaks through the roof near the back corner, so we move the lathes around. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on your feet for ten hours. We get our tea from the stall at the corner twice a day. The traffic on Sr No.14/1 can get pretty bad in the evenings, making it a pain to load up the trucks, but we manage. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just basic engineering work for the local folks who need something repaired or fabricated. It’s dusty and loud, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We mostly just focus on getting the current job done so we can move to the next one on the pile.
