L R Engineering Works

L R Engineering Works is based out of 65/2 in Kamakshi Palya. It’s an industrial sort of area, so you’ll hear the sound of machines and metal all day long. Our workshop is a bit rough around the edges, with grease on the floors and metal shavings in the corners, but that’s just the nature of engineering work. We have a few lathes and welding machines that we use for the various jobs that come in. Most of our work involves fixing parts for local machines or making small metal components that people need. It’s a small team here, and we’ve all got dirty hands by the end of the shift. We don’t have a fancy reception area or a secretary; if you come by, you’ll probably find us middle-deep in a project wearing our work clothes. The building is simple, mostly just a big open space with a roof to keep the rain off the equipment. We keep a pot of tea going most of the morning to keep us moving through the tasks. Some days are really busy with a lot of heavy lifting, and other days we’re just doing small repairs. We’ve been in Kamakshi Palya for quite some time now, so we know the other shop owners on the street and we help each other out. It’s hard work, but we’re used to it and we just get on with the jobs as they arrive at the door every morning.
