L G Engineering Works

Down here at 96 Peenya Industrial Area, things stay pretty loud. L G Engineering Works is located inside the Maruthi Indl Estate. It’s an old-school industrial zone so you see a lot of trucks and metal scrap around. We spend our days working with machines and getting our hands dirty. It’s not the cleanest place in the world but that’s engineering for you. The estate has a lot of small shops like ours. We’ve been at this spot for years. People know us by the sound of the equipment running. It gets hot in the summer under the metal roof but we have a few fans going. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and comes to talk to you if you walk in. The address is 96, but sometimes people get lost because the estate layout is a bit confusing. You just have to follow the path past the other workshops. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours. We make parts and fix things as they come in. There’s always a smell of oil and cut metal in the air. It’s just a basic workshop where we try to get the orders done on time. Nothing fancy about it. We just keep our heads down and finish the jobs as they come through the door. Some days the machines act up but we usually get them back in order.
