Kutchi Bhavan

Our place is located in JP Nagar, right on the Old Mundhawa Road. It is a nice spot because the Mini Forest is right opposite us, so there are actually a lot of trees around. It makes the air feel a bit cooler and fresher than the rest of the busy Bangalore streets. We have been here in the 560078 area for some time now. The building itself is a bit older, and the entrance can be quite easy to miss if you are not looking for the 44/B sign on the gate. Inside, it is mostly quiet during the daytime, but it really picks up in the evening when people are coming home from their offices. We do not have any fancy music playing or special lighting. It is just a straightforward place with plenty of chairs and tables for everyone. Sometimes the dry leaves from the trees outside blow right into the doorway, and we have to sweep them out constantly throughout the day. We have a few staff members who have lived here in JP Nagar their whole lives. We do not try to compete with the big shopping malls or the flashy new restaurants. We just focus on keeping the place tidy and the kitchen running smoothly. It is a local spot where you might see your neighbors eating at the next table. We enjoy the shade from the forest and the steady pace of life on this road. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood for us.
